Zelda - female Terrier (Patterdale) Cross

Zelda is a sweet girl but she's looking for an experienced home. She can be particular about the company that she keeps and although she has been friendly with all the female staff at the centre, she appears to be wary of men. If there are any chaps in her potential family, they'll need to spend a little more time with her before taking her home. Zelda has bags of energy as is typical for a Patterdale, and she struggles to relax at the centre. There is too much going on that she feels she needs to be involved in! Zelda is always on the lookout for squirrels and other dogs, neither of which she is very fond of. We advise that she is walked muzzled at all times, as she will make her feelings quite clear if a dog is too close to her. She will need to be walked in quiet areas or at quiet times, and in an ideal world, she would have no dogs as neighbours. Zelda also finds loud noises scary and can be anxious in general. She mustn't be rushed into anything that makes her uncomfortable, and she has bitten in the past. Zelda is very young still, and by working alongside our behaviour team, her new family can set her up for a much brighter, happier future.

Zelda is looking for a home where she is the only pet, and all members of the household must be adults. She is house trained but we don't know if she is used to being alone at all.
