Trigger is a sensitive girl seeking understanding adopters that will let her blossom in her own time. She can struggle with a lot of interaction from unknown people but the more she gets to know you, the more she enjoys a gentle fuss - still on her own terms. Trigger is currently living in a foster home where she is thriving, so with the right home we know she will be a loving and wonderful addition to her new family.
Could Trigger be the one for you? Please note that you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.

Trigger is a three-year-old Terrier cross who is looking for a home to call her own after being handed in for not getting along with the other dog she was living with. She has happily met up with other dogs here at the centre so although she would like to be the only pet, she could have dog friends to meet up with on walks. Children in the home should be older teens who are sensible around dogs and everyone in the home should be happy to come and meet Trigger a few times due to her being worried by strangers approaching her too quickly. Her ideal location is somewhere without a lot of traffic going past as she does have a history of car chasing. Trigger would like a garden, with a minimum of 6ft fencing, to help bond with her family and she could have a couple of leaving hours introduced once she has settled in fully. If you rent your property, please ensure you have written permission from your landlord before applying for a dog.
