Carter - Male Poodle (Standard)

30-09-23 Carter has come to us from a breeder to find his forever home. He is a very nervous boy who is worried to find himself here at the moment and very unsure of us humans.He needed to be sedated by the vet to give his ears a thorough pluck as they were so hairy that he was at risk of infection but too worried to do this without sedation. He may need this done again in future. Once you've spent a little time with him he will cautiously approach you, but will quickly back away if you move at all. Carter will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home with adopters who have experience with scared dogs. He will need at least one other kind and confident dog in his new home to be his friend and take him under their wing and would like this to be a large female. When he has a friend to follow, he does walk on a lead but he will need more practice with this to feel confident. He has never lived in a home before so his adopters will need to be understanding as he settles in and learns all about home life and house training. He is a wonderful boy and with time, love and care he will start to blossom and leave his past behind him. He will need a home without cats or small furries. He has PETS travel document.
