  • Sex:Male
  • Breed:Saluki
Red is a serene and sweet 12 year old Saluki Whippet Cross who loves nothing more than cuddling up in a nice cosy bed after a gentle sniffy walk. He is such a chilled out, soft-natured chap who does everything with a calm and placid approach and wants a loving home to settle in to and enjoy a comfortable life as an adored family pet. This lovely lad is so quiet and mellow, he will make such an easy-going, loyal and laid-back companion, content with short walks, tasty treats and a cosy place to snooze his days away by your side.

Red is looking for a relaxed and calm home where he can enjoy a peaceful life with a family to love and care for him like he deserves. He is a gentle soul who would prefer a household without too much going on so he can relax in his environment and get lots of nice naps and snoozes in every day. Although Red doesn’t appear to have much formal training, he is a very mild mannered boy who walks very gently on his lead and is very polite in everything he does. He will need housetraining when he goes home, so regular access to an outside space will be essential. With him being so steady in nature, Red would manage with a secure, high-fenced, communal garden if a private garden is not available. He can live alongside other calm and gentle dogs and would be happy to share his home with sensible children aged 10 years and over who will interact gently with him and give him space to relax. Red cannot live with cats or small furries. Red copes well when left on his own and would be able to spend around 4 hours alone if this is introduced and built up gradually when he has settled in. Red will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes between 7 - 10 days.
