Cassie - female Siberian Husky

Adoption fee: Please check with the rescue

  • Centre:Dogs Trust
  • Location:Canterbury
  • Sex:Female
  • Breed:Siberian Husky
Cassie is a beautiful, intelligent and fun 2 year old Husky who is full of personality! A friendly girl, Cassie says a quick hello to people she meets before she wants to be off, continuing her exploring and adventuring again. She loves going on walks and will need a moderate amount of daily exercise to ensure all her Husky energy is burned off! Playing games, Cassie turns into a puppy, prancing off and zooming around with her toys. She loves fetching toys when thrown, although this is sometimes hit and miss and she drops the toy half way back by mistake! True to her breed, Cassie is a clever girl and can become frustrated if she gets bored. Adopters will need to give her fun things to do, enriching games, puzzle toys and things to make her use her brain to avoid her becoming bored. Cassie is such a fun girl and will be right there by your side, ready and willing to join you for all the adventures that life throws at you, a fabulous outdoor exploring buddy and constant companion to have fun and cuddles with and she will certainly help you get your daily steps in!

Cassie is looking for a home with active adopters who will enjoy taking her on lovely long walks and who are willing to include her in all aspects of their day to day life. Cassie will need an adult only home with adopters who can offer her a home where she can enjoy a predictable routine and understanding around her needs. Cassie can have doggy friends while out and about and these will ideally be confident dogs with a similar playstyle to her which can be quite bouncy and boisterous! Cassie would be best suited to be the only dog in her home as she doesn’t like sharing her toys and food. In the home, Cassie will need her own quiet area to eat her meals and treats and adopters will need to separate her from the kitchen while food is being prepared. Cassie would benefit from a household where at least one of her adopters is always at home as she struggles on her own. Cassie is an active and agile girl who will need a secure garden with high fences to keep her safe and secure. She will need most of her basic training and although she has been housetrained in the past, she may need a refresher in her new home. Cassie will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home to build a strong bond so please bear this in mind when applying. She will need visits from our behaviour team once she goes home so adopters will need to live within 45 minutes driving distance from the Canterbury Rehoming Centre so please bear this in mind prior to applying for her. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted.
