Maeve - female Terrier (Staffordshire Bull)

Adoption fee: Please check with the rescue

  • Centre:Dogs Trust
  • Location:Canterbury
  • Sex:Female
  • Breed:Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Maeve is a sweet, energetic and hilarious 2 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is small in stature and big in personality! She is bouncy, silly and so much fun to be around and is always ready for games, adventures and cuddles! She does everything with her whole heart and usually at 100 miles per hour. She has a lovely zest for life that means you can’t help but smile when she is around. Her great big smile is adorable and she is so eager to be doing things, wagging her tail and sniffing everywhere she goes. Maeve is ready and eagerly waiting with all her cuddles to warm the hearts of her adopters. She is still such a young girl with lots to learn, but with time, love, patience, training and lots of positive experiences, Maeve will make a brilliant little buddy for a very lucky family!

Maeve is looking for adopters who are ready for a dinky little bundle of fun and bouncy energy to join them! She will need an adult only as she does get very excited and jumps up when she is exited and she sometimes mouths when she is playing. She can be a little bit bouncy and boisterous when interacting with other dogs, so although she would be best suited to being the only dog in her home, she would benefit from doggy friends that will tolerate her exuberant playstyle to walk and socialise with to help her refine her doggy manners. Maeve cannot live with cats or small furries. Maeve was previously housetrained in her home so she will need access to her own private and secure garden. Although she already has lots of her basic training under her belt, Maeve would benefit from adopters that will invest some time into teaching her new things and practicing what she already knows to keep up her skills and keep her engaged. Maeve will need company in her new home for a period of time before being left on her own, but she settles well when left with a tasty treat or her toys and would be able to cope with up to around 4 hours at a time. Maeve needs a low fat diet and treats to control Pancreatitis. Maeve will need to meet her adopters multiple times to build a strong bond prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted.
