Roxi the 12 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross is an absolute superstar of a dog, described by her carers as the sweetest elderly lady you could meet. She has sadly found herself looking for a new home through no fault of her own and deserves a home that is going to give her all the love, care and attention she deserves. She is so polite, gentle and ever so friendly. She takes everything in her stride and is calm and placid even during her vet visits. She greets everyone with a happy wag of her tail and if you give her a fuss and cuddle, that’s it, she is quite happy to stay by your side and be your new best friend! She loves a tasty treat and takes them ever so gently from you. She really is the sweetest girl who will make the cutest, kindest, loveliest addition to a super lucky home.

Roxi is on the search for a family who will give her lots of love and security for her golden years, after coming into our care no fault or her own. She would prefer to live as the only dog in her home so she can relax and enjoy her own space. She is very calm and gentle, but would prefer an adult only home to enjoy her retirement years. She has some of her basic training and with her love of tasty treats, she would be able to learn lots more. Roxi is deaf so will need adopters who understand this and be extra gentle when interacting with her. She is housetrained from her previous home, and currently very clean in her foster home, but may need a reminder in her new home so she will need a secure and private garden. She travels nicely in the car and hops in and out by herself but she may need a helping hand with particularly high cars. Roxi doesn’t mind being left on her own for more than a couple of hours, but this will need to be built up gradually as she likes to be included in all aspects of family life. Roxi will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes between 7 - 10 days.
