Spike - male Terrier (Staffordshire Bull) Cross

Spike was briefly rehomed before but did not cope with living in a flat, so will need to live in a house with access to a secure garden.

We have sought expert advice and we do not believe that Spike would be considered an American Bully XL type.

Spike is a young, energetic boy that loves his toys and treats and is keen to learn new things. One of his favourite things is playing tug with raggy toys! He sometimes struggles with being overwhelmed by new experiences that can lead to grabbing behaviours, however, he is currently learning new skills to help him with this and is making really good progress with his handlers at the centre. He would appreciate a quieter home environment to help him settle. Spike enjoys the company of other dogs and but is quite a boisterous player and could spend time with dogs that also enjoy his play style. He has been good being left for short periods, he may need support building up the time with suitable enrichment, such as long-lasting chews (he really loves chewing!) Spike has previously been housetrained but may need a refresher once settled at home, and will need his own secure garden to run around and play in.
