Frankie is the sweetest little boy but he's had a difficult life so far. Initially rescued from a poor living situation, his new family soon found out that someone in the household was allergic to Frankie. He's a very nervous boy and it took him a long time to feel safe in his new environment, and he will certainly benefit from a slow approach with his new family. He has often pulled backwards and refused to walk when he hasn't felt secure, but we never push or force him, and it's important that this doesn't happen to him in the future. On top of his anxious nature, Frankie also has MRSP, a bacteria he carries on his skin. He was so sore and itchy when he arrived, and really didn't want us to touch him. He's been treated now, however he is still a carrier of MRSP, but no longer infected. This means he cannot live with another pet, or humans that may be immuno-compromised. The risk is very low of Frankie infecting someone but we must make potential adopters aware. Frankie can look forward to a normal life now he has been treated and he's begun to enjoy his walks and is confident when exploring the centre. The more time he spends with people the more he bonds with them, and he has become firm friends with his handlers. He enjoys being made a fuss of but his carers can recognise when it becomes uncomfortable for him and his skin. Seeing him become more comfortable and confident has been a joy and we can't wait for him to find his special family,

Frankie can live with children over the age of 16 but due to a medical condition, he cannot live with other dogs. He is house trained but will need someone home with him all the time as he isn't used to being left.
