Five year old Rolo is a lovely boy who came to us via our local dog warden. He is rather shy but if you take things slowly with him he's much more likely to find confidence. He's getting better every day and loves to be made a fuss of, but then sometimes worries about contact. It's best to let Rolo come to you for a fuss and be able to take himself away if he's feeling uncomfortable. He is naturally friendly and curious but allowing him to go at his own pace will definitely help him. We have no history for Rolo and have found that when he sees other dogs, he doesn't know how to behave. He would benefit from some calm walking friends once home, ones he can find confidence in and who won't invade his space too much. Rolo loves his toys! He likes to chase after them when they've been thrown or play a game of tuggy, and he will (usually!) leave it when asked to. As we don't know Rolo's background, we can't say that he is used to spending time by himself, so will need someone at home with him all the time initially, working on building up his solo time gradually.

Rolo can live with children of high school age but will need to be the only dog. We have no history for him and cannot guarantee that he is house trained, but it's most likely.
