Adoption fee: Please check with the rescue

  • Centre:Dogs Trust
  • Location:Liverpool
  • Sex:Male
  • Breed:Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Ziggy has had a difficult time in the last year and now finds himself displaced. He is a smashing lad who is very friendly and is trying to put his more unhappy memories behind him, and is deserving of a much brighter future. He may take a little time to get to know you, but once he does he is comfortable and allows all handling, but does fidget and move away when he's had enough. Due to his past, Ziggy likes contact to be on his terms and doesn't go out of his way to seek it from people, but it's likely he will become more affectionate when he feels safe and settled. He's quite happy relaxing on his bed and playing with his toys but as he settles back into a home environment he would need someone around for most of the time whilst he gets used to things again, but previously he was OK by himself for four hours or so. ZIggy is VERY friendly with other dogs! He does love to spend time with them but he will growl and guard if there's food around, so he'll need to be the only pet at home. He will walk with anyone but can be very intense when playing, so pals should be chosen carefully.

Ziggy is a sensitive boy who needs a special, quiet home with an adult family and no other pets He is house trained and can be left alone for a few hours. He is a large Staffordshire Bull Terrier and we do not believe he would be considered an American Bully XL type.
