  • Centre:Dogs Trust
  • Location:Telford
  • Sex:Male
  • Breed:Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Charlie is a big softie at heart. A belly rub can quickly melt away any worries, revealing his love for human connection. He adores treats, making them the perfect tool for building trust and strengthening the bond between him and his new family. Charlie thrives as the centre of attention and would prefer to be the only pet in the home as he can be reactive towards other dogs. Multiple visits to the centre are needed to build a bond with Charlie, and ongoing support from our training team will be crucial as he transitions into his new home. Patience, understanding, and a commitment to positive reinforcement training will be the key to unlocking the best in Charlie. One of Charlie's endearing qualities is his boundless excitement, expressed through adorable zoomies when he's feeling particularly happy. His playful energy is infectious, and sharing these moments with him will surely bring joy to any home.

Meet Charlie, our deaf two year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier! Charlie's journey began as a stray, and he has since captured the hearts of those who've had the privilege to know him. Charlie is a sensitive soul who can easily become overwhelmed, making it essential for his future owners to create a calm and supportive environment with clear boundaries. His forever home will need to be with owners who understand and appreciate the unique needs of a deaf dog. Charlie's deafness doesn't define him; instead, it adds to his individuality. He's a quick learner, having mastered numerous signs, showcasing both his intelligence and eagerness for mental stimulation. Charlie doesn't enjoy being left alone for long periods when he’s in a new environment, so a family where somebody is always at home to begin with would be ideal.
