Kenza - female Terrier (Staffordshire Bull) Cross

Adoption fee: Please check with the rescue

  • Centre:Dogs Trust
  • Location:Wickford
  • Sex:Female
  • Breed:Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Kenza is a 2 year old Staffie Cross who was returned to us to due grabbing/mouthing behaviours in the home. Kenza is a lovely energetic girl who can be quite worried of the world. She can be quite conflicted with new people but once she trusts you, she is very cuddly and wants to be with you all of the time! She is quite a playful girl who can get over the top at times so needs a calming environment where she can learn to settle. Kenza is super foody so will do anything for food and is a really fun character to do training with. She loves her enrichment to keep her busy and loves search games. Kenza is housetrained and travels well in the car.

Kenza is looking for an adult only home with no visiting children who have experience with mouthy breeds and dogs that can be a little worried of the world. Kenza's new home will have to be relatively quiet with minimal visitors as she takes a little while to build bonds with new people. She can be an energetic girl who loves a play and a zoomie so she will need a private garden in which to do so! Kenza will have to be the only dog in the home but she can socialise on her walks to gain confidence of her surroundings and walking with other dogs. She has shown guarding tendencies around food and certain toys so owners will need to respect her boundaries. She will need people to be around all the time as she has shown destructive behaviours when being left alone. Future owners will have to make multiple visits to the centre in order to build a strong bond before going into her forever home. Kenza can be a little worried of some dogs but has made friends here at the center and can be very playful with them.
