- Location:Canterbury
- Sex:Female
- Breed:Labrador Retriever
Mojo is an adorable, affectionate, amazing 2 year old Labrador Cross who is a complete love bug and giant puppy! She is a wiggly, waggy girl who loves to play with toys, adores treats and enjoys being outside, especially if there is a paddling pool to splash in! She loves a teddy, a rope toy and tough toys that she can have a good chew on! Instantly friendly with everyone she meets, she says hello with full body wags and then leans her full body weight on you for a fuss. She takes treats very gently and offers a beautiful sit, down and paw for a reward. This girl is a big bouncy player with other dogs and is quite strong on her lead, so she will need adopters who can manage her strength and bounciness. Mojo is currently working on her loose lead walking and is making good progress. She will make a loving and affectionate addition to a very lucky home.
Mojo has come to us through no fault of her own and is looking for a new home with owners who will shower her with affection and love. Due to her size, strength and bouncy nature she would be best suited to a home with children over 16 years old who are confident with big dogs. Mojo loves human company and although she can be left for a couple of hours, she prefers to have company for the majority of her day and have minimal leaving time when she initially goes home with gradual introductions to being left once she has really settled in. Our team will give lots of advice on how to approach this with her once she goes home. Mojo is a very boisterous and playful girl when meeting and mixing with other dogs, so although she can live with another do, this dog will need to be tolerant and match her bouncy playstyle. She cannot live with cats or small animals as she has a high chase drive. She knows most of her basic training and is housetrained, but would benefit from adopters who are keen to continue her training to keep her mentally stimulated and learning new things. She travels nicely in the car and gets in and out by herself. Mojo will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home and may need a transition period for home visits from our team once she goes home so adopters will need to live within 45 minutes driving distance from the Canterbury Rehoming Centre. Please bear this in mind prior to applying for her. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes between 7 - 10 days.
